Wow! We did it!! THANK YOU for making sure that more people have Help @ Hand when they need it most.
We are truly blown away by the support of our community. On our Help @ Hand Giving Day, you helped us raise $600,000 - and we are so grateful.
Initial target: $500,000
Dream round: $600,000
You can still donate to our Help @ Hand Giving Day, but donations are no longer matched.
Tragically, 9 Australians die by suicide each day. And sometimes, knowing where and how to access help isn’t easy. But our goal is to make it easier.
When you donate to Help @ Hand, it means more people can access support through Lifeline’s digital suicide prevention services – through text and chat crisis support, the Support Toolkit, and BeyondNow app.
All, of course, with the device they have at hand.

Each year, more and more people are turning to Lifeline for support.
Increasingly, Australians are reaching out to Lifeline digitally. In the past year, our digital crisis supporters answered:
📱 76,864 text conversations
🖥 127,909 web chat conversations
There were also:
🛠 1.4 million visits to our website, to access resources like our Support Toolkit – offering people clinically informed and trustworthy information about mental health, on their own terms.
💙 24,917 downloads of our BeyondNow app – supporting people in crisis to create their own safety plan, to help them cope when they’re feeling unsafe or suicidal.
All these services give people agency in their mental health and wellbeing journey, by helping them identify ways to manage what they’re going through. It could be some practical advice. Or some words of kindness, to help someone find connection and build hope.
Hear from Yasmin, one of Lifeline's volunteer crisis supporters
“When I texted Lifeline, I felt seen and heard. I was in a pit of anxiety, but the crisis supporter was able to navigate me through it.”
HELP SEEKER
“She wrote the most beautiful words that I needed to hear. I’ve screenshot the conversation and keep it with me for when I get into a dark place again.”
